Special features of the waxed canvas
The fabric of our knee pad is like a sturdy canvas of coarse, tightly woven cotton that has been treated with beeswax - it's lightly oiled to make it wind and water repellent. Bending can lead to "milky" color changes at the breaks: this effect is desirable, however, and gives the robust material its special patina and vintage look! However, you can correct the color changes at any time with a standard hair dryer.
